HIV ENDS with US!
With your help, we can end the impact of HIV on our friends, families, and our communities, by expanding the education, testing, prevention, and treatment programs of Chase Brexton and their community partners that includes the John G Bartlett Specialty Practice at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
The John G Bartlett Specialty Practice is named in honor of Dr. John G. Bartlett, an infectious disease doctor who previously worked at Johns Hopkins and was a champion for people living with HIV/AIDS in the early days of the epidemic. The state of the art facility, which opened in 2017, includes over 24 exam rooms and brings together a multidisciplinary team from the previous Moore Clinic, Blalock Clinic, various outpatient clinics. This practice co-locates services for patients with an array of infectious diseases including infections obtained after transplantation or on medical devices, HIV, hepatitis, general infectious diseases (such as fever of unknown origin, bone infections, lung infections or patients on IV antibiotics), and PrEP (HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis) treatment and care.
The practice site location provides street-level access to an onsite pharmacy, phlebotomy services, HCV and HIV counseling and testing services, and social services and case management alongside the various multidisciplinary sub-specialists within the clinic for patients. The practice also offers support groups, access to clinical trials, liver elastography, pentamidine inhalation and sputum induction room, and a treatment room. The clinic is staffed with more than 70 providers, nurses, pharmacists, medical assistants, social workers, peer navigators, and research staff who work together to provide patient-centered care.
